The hotel directly overlooks the sea and is located in the gorgeous bay of Porto Conte. It is 12 kilometres from Alghero and approximately 7 kilometres from Alghero airport.

The Porto Conte Hotel is a resort complex designed by the architect Simon Mossa (who designed the Escala del Cabirol: the steps that lead to the nearby Neptune's Caves.) Set in a nature park, it is designed in a style reminiscent of the Catalan architectural tradition. All common areas are air-conditioned, including the restaurant, bar, lounge, television lounge and Internet point. The hotel comprises 143 guestrooms, including 16 family rooms. The rooms are simply decorated in cream tones, complemented by dark tiled floors and wood furnishings. The hotel’s restaurant offers a rich Continental buffet breakfast every morning, as well as à la carte menus of Catalan and Sardinian specialities throughout the rest of the day. The Bar offers light lunches comprising a variety of dishes, including fantasy pasta, colourful salads and tasty sandwiches. Guests are also treated to fresh pastries and cakes, baked daily by the Chef Patissier. As the hotel is on the beach it offers a great selection of water sports including windsurfing, diving, canoeing, and water-skiing.
