Generally pleased with hotel, good level of cleanliness but Reception and Lounge/bar area (especially toilets) a lot nicer than the rooms, which have old and tired furniture. Our bathroom very cramped and wastepipes a bit smelly. Towels are awful - like large cotton tea towels! Breakfast really basic and the same EVERY day! Otherwise a quite peaceful and relaxing holiday.
Top Tip
Alghero generally quite an expensive place.

The hotel was lovely it had great facilities and lovely staff which where helpful and had a good use of English which was a bonus, they treated us very well, the only problem we had was in regards to noise levels of other guests but you can find this any where you go

At the hotel buy your bus tickets for the whole time you are there as this is very helpful, take the boat tour to the Neptuno Caves as they are fabulous, also if you have time make sure you go to Bosa the next city along you can buy a return bus ticket to here it is a great little town. Learn basic Italian as this will help you greatly.

We would like to say we had a lovely holiday at the Oasis. It was a spotlessly clean hotel with very good facilities, ie outside bar/snacks, lovely big swimming pool, beautiful palm trees everywhere etc. The buffet breakfast was quite extensive a choice of cereals, cold meats and cheeses, croissants, egg, bacon and sausage and breads etc. We have no experience of the evening meals because we prefer always to eat out.
The bedroom and bathroom I have to say was quite basic but very spacious with a large balcony. The only observation here are that the walls in the room must be very thin because you could here every noise next door!
The hotel itself sits as the hotel name suggest in an oasis, quite lovely. To get to the beach you take a short stroll from the hotel across the road to a wooded area and then meander through to the beach (only a two minute walk). The beach itself is quite lovely, white and sandy with clear turquoise water.
The hotel itself is a little further out from the other hotels so this could be a put off for some people but not us. We enjoyed the 35-40 minute walk in to Alghero, along the sea front or slightly less as a beach walk. Occasionally we took a bus from outside the hotel which runs every half hour. Finally I have to say that we found the hotel staff friendly and helpful.

Alghero is an ancient walled town with lots of bars, restaurants and historic buildings, and was quite charming

Hotel needed a refurbishment - our bathroom needed updating. Lovely beach accross road through the trees but have to pay €10 per day for sunbeds.

A most enjoyable stay- very efficient staff at reception.

Avoid the boat trip to Neptune's Caves if you are not able-bodied. Definitely unsuitable for children under 5 years. No warnings are given anywhere about how dangerous it is getting on and off the boat. In the caves it is necessary to wear flat shoes with gripping soles. Personally, I think it is a money-making concern to cram as many people as possible into the caves and onto the boats, without any concern at all for safety.
