The Calabona Hotel is housed in an attractively designed, modern white building, which faces Alghero’s splendid Riviera del Corallo (Riviera of Coral) and offers a spectacular view from the promontory of Capo Caccia (Cape Caccia). The property boasts a very nice swimming pool and a charming area with deck chairs and beach umbrellas just in front of the main entrance. The spacious lobby is appointed in a typical Sardinian style with an intricately tiled floor. The 110 guestrooms feature equally traditional décor and have sea view balconies furnished with a table and chairs. Offering guests comfort, elegance and functionality, they are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms. Housed beneath an elegantly draped ”tensostructure” canopy with marvellous views of the Gulf of Alghero, "Le Vele" restaurant serves a rich selection of regional and international dishes, accompanied by fine Sardinian wines, and has a show kitchen. It also offers a Continental buffet breakfast every morning. During the day, guests can enjoy light dishes served on the poolside terrace, and in the evening there’s live music in the elegant bar.
