Situated in a residential area about 15 minutes walk from the old part of Alghero. It's a quiet part of town with no close restaurants or bars. Hotel is modern and well appointed but with no restaurant on site.
Top Tip
A restaurant to be recommended is Trattoria Maristelle on Via Kennedy Fratelli,9- excellent seafood risotto, and good value for money prices and wines. The drive from Alghero to Bosa along the coast is spectacular and the Borgo Antico restaurant there is worth seeking out.

You cannot complain about this hotel for the price.
The hotel is immaculate, beds comfortable, rooms air conditioned and a lovely spread for breakfast. Staff very helpful. I have stayed here 3 times and some friends have stayed here also. Ten minute walk into town, but don't let this put you off!

Mabrouk Ristorante
Via Santa Barbara, 4
Alghero
Fantastic seafood restaurant at very reasonable price. There is no menu - you just eat what is caught on the day by the owners brother. Typical sardinian food - make sure you are hungry... several courses at a set price - you will be amazed! Book in advance or send a letter!

We got a free taxi arranged by the hotel to the Hotel restaurant in town. The restaurant is pricey but really good.

Hotel was very clean, staff at reception were the most helpful ever experienced. Rooms were excellent although views are of residential area only. Breakfast spot-on especially on the outside terrace. 15 mins walk into town, very safe with lots of bars and restaurants close by.
Top Tip
Avoid bars and restaurants in the centre of the old town, far too expensive. Try La Lanterna for a good traditional restaurant where locals eat. Excellent quality.

This hotel is not as central as some but well worth the extra schlep - although walking back up the hill is a test! Hotel is very stylish, clean, new and modern. Staff extremely helpful and the breakfast was pretty good too. Tastefully decorated and very comfortable beds. All rooms have balconies which would be lovely in the summer - however no chairs out and only one in the room so difficult.
Top Tip
Get the bus from the airport to Piazza Mercede (less than a euro!) and it's about 10-12 minute walk from there. Close to the sea and only about 15 mins into town. Only local restaurant we found was La Lanterna and it was closed when we were there but looks ok and because the area is very residential, I suspect will be full of locals which is always good. The Hotel give you a 10% voucher for their restaurant in town. We planned on using it but the menu came in pretty pricey in the first place and there is a 10% service charge so we didn't bother! Plenty of other places and quite nice to escape back to listen to the birds singing actually!
