not quite a 5 star hotel but not far off, the location is great but we were a little dissapointed at the quality and variety of the food on offfer at the hotel. The rooms/bathrooms are comfortable so no complaints in that department.

Top Tip
The town is a 10 minute walk away with a great array of restaurants etc, a very pleasant place to visit would be the bar at the marina in the lower section of the port, very relaxing for an evening drink.

Carlos V Hotel was excellent. Lovely pool and excellent breakfast choice. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff, lovely pool, very clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast, would definitely stay again if visiting. For me Alghero is all about the old town and this was only a short, flat and pleasant 10 minute stroll away.

Top Tip
I found the food and drink in pretty much every restaurant fantastic, if a little pricey at times. The local people were all very friendly and helpful. Some beautiful beaches are also just a short bus or taxi ride away, indeed Alghero's you can reach on foot and is of a high standard too. For the more adventurous, car hire and a good map can get you to some even more breathtaking spots. Would definitely go back.
