This is a very beautiful hotel, clean and efficient. Althought the cost can be more than others I would advise to pay it if not only for the private beach they have to offer.

Top Tip
It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the old town which is very idyllic and also has lots of lovely shops and food places, the ice cream store recommended as The Times best ice cream is a must. We travelled in August so it was quite busy with lots of other italians so at times we felt a bit isolated but it wasn't too difficult to find someone who could understand a little bit of English and relpy to 'our Italian' attempted questions in English as opposed to italian. Every evening on the outscurts either side of the old town there were street markets which were lovely too. Overall a very romantic and idyllic holiday destination. Weather in August was guarenteed to be hot too.

The staff and the service at this hotel were fantastic, they bent over backwards to help and ensure our stay was as enjoyable and convenient as possible.

Top Tip
There are some lovely white sandy beaches a few miles to the north of Alghero, worth a visit if you don't plan to travel much.

This hotel was great! It was a bit of a walk from the old town - about 15 minutes - but the walk into town allowed you to take in the stunning scenery that Alghero has to offer. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and cleanliness was very good. Not much in the way of entertainment (though we were there in May) but I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle and relax in lovely surroundings. The food in the hotel was of good quality and reasonably priced - breakfast could have been better though. Other than having to pay 1 euro for a beach towel, ths hotel was def value for money.

'Down Town' Alghero is only a 15/20 min stroll away.

Top Tip
If you are staying local, a car is not necessary, although the hotel can arrane. Good bar approx 500m south overlooking the sea. Great for viewing the sunset with a drink and a light meal.

although located on the fringe of the town there is easy access(walking,buses etc.)to the town centre.

Top Tip
There is a pizzeria a couple of minutes from the hotel which is of a good standard and a number of exellent restaurants on the seafront in the old town.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Everthing in the hotel was kept spotlessly clean. Great size pool with lots of poolside seating.
